Sometimes everything just falls together.

I have had the pleasure of living in 5 provinces. Ontario, Quebec, Newfoundland, New Brunswick and British Columbia. Each one of these provinces has it's unique qualities that add to the greatness of Canada.

My work has always fit in where ever I have lived. That is a blessing! It has allowed me to work for some wonderful people and at the same time grow to appreciate new ideas. I have brought a piece of each province back to my home base in Ontario. Artwork, furniture and my addiction to pottery bowls. All of my collection has found a new place in my home.

The photos in this post show you the tranformation of one room. I really liked the pink and green room the previous owner had created for her daughter. It was full of fun and whimsical artwork. I could only imagine how great it would have been to have grown up in that space. Alas once the artwork was gone the room was bare it was ready for a new life.

This room came together with some of my collected pieces. My very first piece of expensive fabric purchased in the late 90's. It has travelled from Ontario to British Columbia and back again. It has gone from side panels in a previous house to Roman Shades and a pillow. Proof that you can bring things back to life.

The second piece that makes up this room is a painting by a dear friend Ron Finch given to me by my husband. Ron has some wonderful paintings that would be great inspiration for any room. I love the grand scale of his work. I will post his contact info below.

Fabric is a wonderful expression of who we are. I always suggest fabric choices and big item furniture be your starting point. Paint colour choices are easily made afterwards.

I am proud to say the only items I purchased for this renovation was a new bedframe because I have lots of guests and light fixtures to add a modern punch.

Sometimes everything just falls together!
