Kitchen Celebration!

The kitchen is officially how I imagined it could be when I viewed the house. Every bit of the renovation was part of the big picture. I knew the bright yellow walls could be toned down to a calm shade of white. From the painting, to the removal of the old laminate counters, to the replacement of door knobs, to the lighting updates, to the facet update, to the pantry switch over, to the backsplash.......I kept all the original cupboards and cast iron white sink which I love!

This reno was not a weekend project like you see on HGTV. It was done over time with lessons learned along the way. I am more handy than I gave myself credit for was lesson #1. I know my limitations lesson #2 and all things happen in their time was lesson #3.

The original kitchen was built just over 100 years ago and for the most part everything has held up. My plan was to stay within the integrity of the house, add some modern updates and not spend a crazy amount of money doing it. Happy to say that with determination and help in the areas that surpass my skill set my vision has come to fruition.

We all need to keep on the good side of things right now. Covid has challenged us in many ways. I am thankful for the determination to finish something I started and the lessons I've learned along the way. Made it through the first wave and hopefull that I can pull it off for the next wave. I guess you could call this my free psychiatry.

Stay safe and keep busy!
