Inspiration!!

This is one of the most frequently asked questions. Where to you get your ideas for colour and fabric choices etc? I'm going to be honest with you. I can be motivated or inspired by pretty much anything. This holiday season the bold colours on a puzzle box grabbed my attention. As we were putting it together I was planning my next project.

This month marks my 5th year in this house. I celebrate this because I recognize how I have evolved. Every fabric choice, paint colour or item I chose to keep or pass along has given me a true sense of comfort.

One of the first rooms I did over in my house was the dining room. It has hosted many a meal with family and freinds. Today when I cleared away all the Christmas decorations I looked at the dining room with new eyes. It looked safe and ordinary all of a sudden. In the big picture of life I am past safe and ordinary!! This my friends is going to be my new project.

One thought for you to consider. Everyone you meet, every place you visit, every book you read brings growth to your life. Everyone brings their colour their ideas and their passion.

None of the choices you make when decorating your home are going to be wrong as long as you feel comfort within those rooms.
